The Zambezi doesn't so much fall here as detonate, throwing spray a kilometer into the sky that locals named 'the smoke that thunders' long before any explorer showed up to caption it. This is a town built entirely around one violent, gorgeous geological fact, and everything else—the bungee jumps, the sundowner cruises, the lion walks—is just people trying to keep pace with it.
